this has got to be the most distracted study week ever. goodness me i hope the lack of diligence this week only show up in my guilty smile and not in anything else *crosses fingers...and toes*
i was invited to a wedding yesterday, and it was very beautiful, very touching.
the happy smiles and happy tears, the hearty congrats and best wishes, the twinkle in their eyes, the glint of the tear in their parents' eyes.
The last-minute hurries that make a wedding, the slight flare-ups behind the scenes, the anxiety and fretting that make the wedding so real.
the beautiful atrium with the evening sunlight streaming in through the wooden windows,
the long cream curtains and soft chandelier lights that add the touch of elegance,
the trio of musicians who added so much mirth and music to the night,
the beautiful speech of thank-yous and i-love-yous
the warm embrace between a sister and her younger brother which was so touching that i could feel tears welling up
and to cap off the twinkly night,
the strolling across the lobby - hand in arm - with the soothing melodies of christmas songs in the background
it almost felt like 'love, actually'.
