when we love someone, when we truly love and care for someone, we do not make them feel small, miserable or unimportant. my friend was feeling so distraught last night that i felt very upset for her, and very angry with her boyfriend, if he is even worthy of being a boyfriend given his behaviour. a jerk, would be more apt. it's easy to rationalise behaviours and give every reason to explain his neglect, inaction, dismissive attitude; but that would be missing the point. the point is that he cannot treat her as if she's invisible, as if she's a doormat for him to stamp all over. everyone has their pride, everyone has self-worth, and there comes a point when we have to stand up for ourselves and not let others treat us like a plaything or like crap.

all alone in a foreign land, locked out of the house for hours, and ur boyfriend finds every excuse not to come home immediately to open the door for u, not even have genuine concern for your safety, your well being and your feelings. if he wanted to break up, he should have done it in a mature, responsible way. not suddenly give a cold shoulder and ignore the person whom he is supposed to be closest to. if he was just stressed and acting abnormally, belittling others is still unacceptable. hell no, even a normal friend, would have been concerned enough to come down to help!

im sure she rang me only cos she had no choice, cos she knows that i would have picked her up and she doesnt like troubling others. but when the person you're closest shows such atrocious behaviour, you'll be really down in the dumps. what would u have done if your friend, who's usually all smiles, calls u in the middle of the night and starts sobbing away? im sure you would have gone to pick her up, bring her to your house to stay for the night, and be there for her instead of lettin her sit outside the house for the night.

i was supremely angry with that horrible guy for treating my friend like that, and especially when she needed his love and support for the health condition that she's going through. ive not seen someone so warm, lovely and optimistic like her before, and to think that she's still so cheerful and bubbly despite the pain she has to endure every waking moment. he ought to be shot. but no, i dont hope he gets shot. i hope he realises what a big jerk he was, and feels repentant for his behaviour, and resolves to love her with all his heart - all by the end of goodfriday, where he should practise what he learnt in his religious lessons.

if he repeats his repulsive behaviour, he doesnt deserve such a nice girl. period. and he ought to be shot.

through it all..what does 'being there' for someone mean? please treat your friends and loved ones with the respect, care and love that they are deserving of. there's really no other way.

after feeling mightily pissed up, i felt very fortunate to have people around me who really care and bother. be it calling everyday, driving out with me to pick up a friend, getting the room ready with no qns asked, these actions mean so much to me. thank you.

back to bp now... dont want to screw that up.
