A new year brings forth new hope and inspiration, not so much because
the physical change in calendar day brings a different amount of joy
when the calendar flips from 31st to 1st; but because people attach
meaning and give significance to the change. An opportunity to be
hopeful, an opportunity to look forward to a new beginning.
2008 was significant, and in many ways unexpected. The biggest turning
point in my life happened in Tokyo. Haha was it expected? Nope. Was I
deliriously elated? Yes. Are we excited? Yes. Have we started planning?
