Discovering bbc radio channel 2 opened a new vista! It's a wonder how surrounding oneself with perky tunes and upbeat songs while at work can have such a positive impact on one's mood. I actually concentrate on work better when there's an auditory-distraction in the background. Total silence becomes deafening to me. hehe
Listening to channel 2's sunday programme which plays lots of love songs, and there are just so many feel-good moments. Kinda unreal perhaps, but it's such a welcome change from the depressive news that is commonplace. (Reading the news, with those negative coverage, makes one feel old.) The dedications are so cute - 'we're celebrating our ruby today, and she is still as beautiful as when we first met 40yrs ago. She says I'm so unromantic, so please read this out for my sake, I love her. ' or 'we first met at xxx park in the millenium and 40yrs later, we're celebrating our anniv here'. Cute, cos it's so LOVELY to hear happiness in the air, instead of story after story of infidelity, hurt and pained relationships.
Maybe it's not that all this goody things are unreal, but just let the optimist in me believe that it's another side of reality, one that does exist, and will exist if we let ourselves have a go at it. Takes effort to make things work, but doesn't everything require effort anyway?
Ready to embrace being happy? :D
*hug*
