a realisation... that i'm now less of a dessert person than a hearty-entree person.
Desserts of any kind, especially if they came in glossy well taken photos, would capture my eye and fill me with this desire to learn how to create it. And savour it.
Glossy sheens, stylized chocolate curls, petite edible art, or wholesome unpretentious slices, warm apple tarts, flaky pastries or nibblesome cookies
Yet of late, it is the hearty fare like rich tomato based soups and delicious double-boiled herbal soups, pasta, fragrant rice, seafood that have captured the gaze of the foodie eye.
An inclination towards nourishing, uncomplicated and substantial food has set in. is it a reflection of the inner covet for being steadfast and comforting? The frivolity and sugar rush of desserts tempt me no longer to the heights they once used to.
So mellowed.
That is, until I set sight on a visual treat of a dessert. And I'll eat my word. (where word = that dessert)
