SunKist makes u feel sun-kissed ! Both make u feel happy, one with the vit c dose leaves u with nicer skin, while the other leaves u vit d, freckles and potential facial spots.

 

i digress. :) Sunkist. You Can't Resist it!

 

as a child, i avoided oranges like plague. i hated the citrus scent of the fruit, the sourness of the juice, the many fibres around the fruit sacs and the sheer inconvenience of having to peel it. the last two reasons are just excuses, cos the inconveniences of mango and longans never seem to put me off them, so it would be that the nose-wincing sourness was the source of distaste (no pun intended). Whenever those feel-good Sunkist ads would play on tv, the cynical child in me would scoff at the ad models' wide grins and think that there was no way they could be so happy eating a fruit so sour. It might have been the circumstances - no other fruit in the house save the mangoes still on the tree - that forced me to reconsider my abstinence of citrus fruits, but it might also have been that i grew sick of eating apples everyday, but somewhere during the transition from an adolescent to a kidult (kid adult), i gave the humble orange a second chance, and never regretted it.

 

Maybe oranges have become sweeter as farming techniques became more refined, maybe it's just that i moved into another lifestage where i could accept oranges.

 

as moonie would say, "jie you're like sooo lame" but i guess there's reason to be perky after a lighthearted lunch with kai.

 

truth be told, we hardly ever meet but meeting up surely lights up my day. it's more than the sense of familiarity, it's also the sense of feeling very comfortable and at ease. And when i say it was an enjoyable lunch, see u again soon, it wasnt out of mere formality, it's because i really do.
