many a times when my fingers do the fat squeeze test (can u pinch ur waist?), i pause and wonder why people think that im starving and then try to feed me and feed me and feed me.
haha.. well what an ungrateful person i am. it's such a joy to eat, and privilege to have food. no complaints, so for all the dinner invitations to try japanese/korean/indian/thai/vietnamese cuisines or to dim sum buffets or a home cooked feast ..bring them on! lol. such a nonsensical post-lunch post.
Japanese Lunch at the M Hotel
Lunch with the big boss and zm today was quite insightful for me. the scope of the dept is focused on external relations and the nature of assignments are very dynamic, as with most things that revolve around people. it was most interesting to listen to how issues of these sorts are perceived and dealt with, the concerns that underlie each issue, the opportunities that we can seize to turn things to our advantage, the depth of thought that goes into each plan, each brief, each action. so challenging! so stressful too but definitely quite exciting.
what is it that governs how much you like a job? to Learn and to Make a Difference. :) guiding principles. funnily, that's what my guiding principles are, and i think i lost them somewhere along the way, only to have rediscovered it when sc said that.
the irony, the irony. keep them in mind, live them, remember them.
