from a busy internship to the much needed post-internship-pre-summer-sch break to the hectic camp which involved brain work, heart work and muscle work during dragon boating to jetting off to macau to stepping into the hustle and bustle of Mong Kok to arriving at the peaceful HKU to feasts of desserts across Central & Tsim Sha Tsui to 2hr bus rides to get to the Big Buddha Statue to admiring the sunset at Stanley to sitting here in my dorm room typing this.
so many memories and thoughts remain blogged only in my mind because I reach back in the room past 12 almost every night and sitting down to blog just becomes less preferable to sleeping. hehehe.
买东西,吃东西,买东西,吃东西!
travelling with kc had been so wonderful because in addition to the all important and challenging task of being my boyfriend, he was also the guide/porter/guardian angel/atm/teacher/dessert nutritionist/translator, which makes him the ultimate sweet boyfriend. my mum really didn't worry about me not eating because kc has the natural dessert-snack radar, and it is so efficient that we end up with 5 meals a day. No kidding. Before I go on about the egg tarts, MILK tarts, almond soup, soybean curd, MANGO desserts, MILK TEA, polo buns and not stop, here's a picture of me on the first day in hk - eating already!

greedy mouse at Xu Liu Shan.
Other thoughts which have yet to be organised into prose:
* feeling more politically aware than ever before
* feeling the need to know more about singapore's political affairs
* brushing up my mandarin by speaking to the chinese and taiwanese
* getting told that I speak like stefanie sun (it's cos of the singaporean accent probably)
* my inverted specs prove to be a good ice breaker topic
* hk's so vibrant!
* so many very warm, friendly and fun ladies here - good girl company :)
* shopping with kc was so much fun
* repulse bay, stanley market, lovely night scenery, bumpy bus rides, extremely challenging slopes
* conversations abt sex and the city with sally
* not missing the internet at all
* pressures felt in s'pore have dissipated and i feel very free here
* being teary eyed when bidding good nite yesterday
* the awareness of the mediator-diplomatic role that singaporeans (and spore) can play because we are generally able to straddle east and west
* ferry rides across the sea from tsim sha tsui to central
so many many more thoughts, majority happy, some reflective, others thought provoking. but wait till ive more energy ..* flops to bed*
